06 Aug EITI Reporting Training – Transparency in Practice with Albpetrol sh.a.
On July 21, 2024, at the premises of Albpetrol sh.a. in Patos–Fier, the EITI Albania organized a dedicated training for around 50 employees of the company, focused on the latest international standards of transparency in the extractive sector.
The training, titled “EITI Reporting”, was conducted according to a structured agenda and addressed the core topics of the 2023 EITI Standard. The activity began with the presentation of the agenda and continued with five substantive sessions, covering:
- An overview of the EITI Standard and key updates in the 2023 version
- Guidance on reporting templates and required data
- New reporting components on beneficial ownership, gender, environmental and social issues
- Data quality assurance and validation processes
- A group discussion session for reflections and suggestions for improvement
The training was delivered by experts with extensive experience in transparency and public reporting in the extractive industry.
The aim of the activity was to strengthen the technical capacities of Albpetrol’s staff and to raise awareness on the importance of engaging all institutional levels in regular, accurate, and verifiable reporting.
