Albania has run in EITI since 2009 but in 2013 became a member in this Forum with full rights. The expansion of EITI coverage in industry including for the first time the hydropower sector in these reports was an achievement and innovation from our side.

Reports not only represent the highest degree of transparency of Extractive Industry in Albania, but through detailed analysis give the 2013 and 2014 level description of this industry in our country. As such, they have a great value information and decision-making for foreign investors who intend to invest in Albania. Presentation of this information according to extractive industry type of activity for each company represents a valuable document for the foreign investors operating in Albania, which can expose as supporting material of their activities.

For a better implementation of EITI in Albania reports also pose problems in form of recommendations that remain to be resolved in the future by emphasizing the continued constructive cooperation between Albania EITI, government and interest groups of civil society.
